Today I contracted the help of my friends in India to assist me with submitting one of my sites to PR4-PR7 directories. WIll it work? You never know, if you're not doing it right, it may actually backfire on you, your website and your keyword rankings. It's been a while since I've done this, but in the past I've seen a site go from 0 links in to 200 links in within months. As for the term, there are over 5K+ listings in Google now.

SEO optimizer and website promoters love links coming to their website.
Who doesn't?
More links to your site, more traffic, hopefully better keyword ranking over time, more backlinks and better results in the search engines.
Every little bit counts and sometimes you may never know where it might be coming from.
Always keep in mind, some free ad forums might not necessarily give you better ranking because of indirect links and redirects.
Do you avoid these type of sites?

This social bookmarking adventure is mind numbing. Trying to determine what sites will rank, which ones won't. Is it worth submitting to the site, do they provide direct or redirect link types, are the pages indexed and more. I have found a great tool that helps with all of this, but still trying to determine it's full value and potential.
