Today I contracted the help of my friends in India to assist me with submitting one of my sites to PR4-PR7 directories.

WIll it work?

You never know, if you’re not doing it right, it may actually backfire on you, your website and your keyword rankings.

It’s been a while since I’ve done this, but in the past I’ve seen a site go from 0 links in to 200 links in within months. As for the term, there are over 5K+ listings in Google now.

So did it work?

Absolutely.

Quick list of ways to promote your site:

  • Directory submission - questionable in some cases, but still works
  • Article submission - excellent for boosting keyword rankings
  • Social bookmarking submission - too early to say on what results may be, but highly popular.
  • Forum posting - good if they have not redirects
  • Blog posting - a lot of no-follows, but still works with some engines
  • Manual link exchange requests - too time consuming, no guarantee on results.

As is the case, you will not see results right away … patience is the key.

Eventually you will get there.
